I have set up IMAP for my account, because I am on a lot of different locations and this is the easiest way for me to check my email...

But, the IMAP server seems kinda slow... It takes about a whole minute, just to check if there are new message... is there any way to speed this up? Or is this normal?

I am using Outlook Express 6.

BTW I'm not totally satisfied with the speed of LunarPages... especially when it gets later, it gets slower... I was wondering how your connection to Europe is.. (and maybe if more people find LunarPages sometimes a little bit slow).

Check your email client. Does it download all the emails every time? If you have a lot of emails in your imap folder. Some programs take their time to download each and every email. And then only display the new emails. Every time you check your mail.
