Hi all, is any1 aware if the spiders prefer Index.aspx or default.aspx for SEO?

Just another question, my home page is default.aspx, i have moved it to the top in preference, i also deleted the index.html page in httpsdocs but i seem to have a problem being found in a strange way, as example, i can type www.friendsdatingfriends.com as a link and when clicked on it is found, on the other hand i cant get my SEO software to find it or google ppc can not find it, also when typed in search i get everything but my home page domain, only Lunarpages post and a blog thats not mine, lol.

So im thinking, it may not have been index yet, but i cant see how my software or google PPC cant find it when yet my link does.

Any thoughts?

Best Regards
Jason

I don't think spiders care one way or another about the name of the home page.

I do think you have a few issues that you need to iron out. First, the site loads very slowly, which is probably due to your coding. Next, your site looks a lot like Facebook. I'm not certain if that was your intention, but Facebook is copyrighted and you might not want to mimic a popular, well-known site like that unless you want to run into possible design copyright infringement issues. Just a thought.

Hi Tristan,

Thank you for your thoughts and your point outs : )

I am aiming for a social dating network thats cross between Plentyoffish and Facebook, it does look too much like Facebook, this wasnt my intention and this is a template for more further changes, i  plan to keep it simple looking, as this seems to be working these days. I will ask the community what they want as it grows.

Not sure why its loading slow now, was better before, mmmm.
