I've just signed up with lunarpages, and my domain name is held by Network Solutions.  I wish to set up some CNAME and MX records so that lunarpages will host the website, and I can use google apps to handle email.  It seems that I can either set the DNS on the Network Solutions admin page to point to the lunarpages server, or set up A records (by IP only), and manually add the MX/CNAME records there.  I'm totally new to this, so I don't know the best way to go.  Here are my questions:

-Do I have a static IP at lunarpages if I want to set up the www redirects at the network solutions site?  If so, how do I find out the IP?
-Failing that, if I simply set the domain name servers at NS to point to the lunarpages servers, is there a way I can then configure the appropriate CNAME/MX records through lunarpages to handle email appropriately?  From the look of it, since NS owns the domain, I can't make those changes at lunarpages even if the domain name servers are set here...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Tom,

If you have a Basic/Business Plan you should find your IP Address by logging into your cPanel and looking at the upper left side of the screen. It should be listed there.

For the MX/CNAME changes, what you would need to do is set the NameServers to point to our servers and then email support@lunarpages.com to have us set up the needed MX/CNAME records on your account.
