vistors from certain countries from visting my site?

i've had a good look thru the forum and can not find any info on this subject. It would really help cut back on my bandwidth usage if i could stop people from certain countires from viewing the contents of my site.

thanks in advance for any suggestions

Yes, it is possible, if you know how to write scripts.

This script should get you started - http://www.ilk10.com/iptocountry.php

hi stephan

thanks for the .php advice but it went striagth over my head. Iwas really hoping for an optoin within CPANEL that i'd missed or possible a .js script i could add to my index page. Although i've just upgraded my lunarpages account to PREMIUM it looking like i'll fly right over 60Gb within weeks , so eliminating the traffic from outside of Europe and the States would really be helpful.

If you don't know PHP, then unfortunately you probably won't be able to do it.

There is no option in CPanel, normally there is no call for this kind of thing.

If I were you, I'd just put a notice on the 1st page saying that if you're not in the UK, then there is no point looking at the page, or something.

Then again, that would probably just make people even more curious!

Anyway, that's the easiest option.
