I've just signed up and I'm trying to Login to the CPanel, yet whenever I click on the server, I get a page cannot be displayed message. I'm with Europa, but the same happens with all the other servers as well.

Any thoughts on what my stupidity is?

Thanks

Steve

I'm using IE 6 via a LAN connection, and I just tried MSN Explorer with the same result.

With Opera I get a 'Could Not Connect' message.

My LAN has an FTP Firewall, would this affect it? I wouldn't have thought so with a Web based panel, but I am an idiot.

Your computer must be able to access port 2082.

Try it on your main computer, the one with the main internet connection.

Your website is on port 80, e.g. http://www.uglypeople.co.uk:80
The CPanel is on port 2082 e.g http://www.uglypeople.co.uk:2082

Contact your ISP if port 2082 is blocked.

Thanks Stephan, that fixed it. Although I shouldn't have to ask these questions here, it should be in the 'manual'.

Sorry, just venting.

Yeah, maybe it should be put somewhere on the site.

The CPanel demo on www.lunarpages.com runs on port 2082 aswell.

It's good you solved the problem though  "[Smile]"
