I have an existing web page and domain, but now I've purchased a second domain name.

I want the second (new) domain to point to a web page that is outside of LunarPages.  Is there a way to do this?  Thanks

Eric

So you have registered the domain name with Lunarpages, but you don't want to host the site at Lunarpages?

Yes, because the site/page I want to point to is part of another existing site (that I have paid to use).

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner here.  Yes, this should be possible - after getting the domain you could login to opensrs to manage your domain, and change the nameservers.  If you need help with that drop an e-mail to support@lunarpages.com and they'd be happy to walk you through it.

Thanks for the info.

For the clueless, what is "opensrs" and how do I log into it?

I'm afraid I'm still having trouble with this.

I was able to log-in to opensrs, and I can set the "nameserver" fields.  However, I have been unable to obtain the correct nameserver for the destination site.

In brief, here's what I want to do.  I want my new domain name "northcountyalpacas.com" (purchased through lunarpages) to connect visitors to the site "http://www.alpacanation.com/farmsandbreeders/03_viewfarm.asp?name=19279"

What's the best way to do this?  Thanks

Do you want to connect that domain to that specific address or just the alpacanation.com web site?  You would need to go to whoever hosts that site and ask them what their nameservers are.

I want to link to the address as shown... not the generic alpacanation site.

I tried to get "nameservers" from the alpacanation folks... they just said I should "redirect" to the desired site.

I'm afraid I'm confused as to what to do.

Might contact the alpacanation people to see if they have any other workarounds.  Another way to do it would be to change your nameservers back to us - and then use the domain name as an addon domain.  Then in the index for the addon domain you could do a 301 redirect to direct people to the alpacanation site.
