I just need a simple "under construction" page to put up until we can work on the site.  So I used a pre-designed theme in Rapidweaver 3.0.  I couldn't get the 'one click' publishing button to work, so I copied the code into TextEdit, saved the file as index.html and uploaded to public_html folder using Fetch.

When I view the site in my browser (Safari) it only shows the code.  I also tried visiting the site on a PC using Explorer, same thing.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Here is the link to the site:  http://www.paramount-flooring.com
and the temporary site is http://dreamer.lunarmania.com/~param12/

I get the same thing at both locations.  Does this have something to do with propagation?

How did you save that file..
If you look at the source code it shows, it shows that is content and that there is already code being used Neutral

Looks like you made it in rapid weaver then pasted the code into coca editor?

I copied the code from 'Source View' in RapidWeaver and pasted it into TextEdit and did File>Save As.. and named it 'index' and under the format drop down I chose .html

Did you make sure in text edit you where using a plain text file and not rich text file?

Try to copy it again into text edit, but before you do, go to Format -> Make Plain Text.

Then save it as "index.html" (without the quotes) as a text file. Make sure if the option below that if no extension is provided that it doesn't use .txt and that hide extension is unchecked.

Thanks JeremyD

That did the trick, it didn't keep theme, but I can live with that for now.  It is also not showing the logo jpeg, but I am sure I can find that answer for that problem somewhere on here.  I thought savings as html would have converted it to plain text, obviously not.  Thanks again

If its not showing the images/colors then things like the images/style sheets are not uploaded.
Looking at your source its calling towards lots of .css style sheets but they don't exist. Make sure they get uploaded as well.

You named the file "Index.html", so it is not automatically loaded. You need to change it to "index.html". Don't forget to fix the links within the page to be "index" instead of "Index".
