I have been having a hell of a time trying to get my mail.  Usually, I get about 30 messages a day (some with orders from my store).  Today, I logged on and kept getting error messages about the STMP (it seemed to work yesterday)..........  Am thinking something has to do with my ISP (Earthlink/Mindspring).  Evidently, I got it fixed 'cause I got my new password notification for the forum.  I got email before I set up my 1 email account(forgot to do that until today).  My question is -- is there any way of knowing if I got emails today? Sad  Sad

Thanks,
Patsy

I guess you're talking about mail to your domain.  If your domain was elsewhere and you moved it here, there may have been a lag while records updated.  Thankfully most mail servers will continue to try to send a message for a couple of days.

If it's just that you didn't create an account, then all mail at yourdomain.com is usually forwarded to the email address attached to your account, until you set up accounts and/or set it up otherwise.

Sometimes to get the smtp working on some isps is to use their smtp servers. The reason is they might block the use of external smtp servers because they want to limit people from sending spam from their network.

If you can't get the outgoing mail to work (smtp) then try to use your isps outgoing mail servers.

You will not see a difference anyway in the outgoing email Smile
