I've been trying to get my site set up here with Lunarpages after a bad experience with my prior host.  Unfortunately, I just found out that my domain name has a registrar lock on it because I created it only 10 days ago.  They (Enom, Inc.) say that domains can't be transferred within the first 60 days of creation.

I had no idea there was any such policy.  I purchased my domain through a reseller (the one I had the big problem with) and didn't even know Enom was involved until I asked my reseller to transfer my DNS.

Is there anything to be done?  I don't want to have to wait another 50+ days to start my site here.

Ok, I think I answered part of my own question.  I'm not changing registrars, just nameservers, so that should go through.  So, hopefully that will happen soon since I've been waiting 50+ hours now.

Unfortunately, I can't even get my page ready for when the change goes through.  My web-design software operates out of the CGI-bin, which means I have to be able to access my domain and drill to it.

Do you happen to know if there's a way around that?

You might have to add your domain in the control panel.

If you are unsure about it, e-mail support@lunarpages.com

If you login to your Control Panel (the login page is on www.lunarpages.com ), you will be able to get to a web-based file manager to upload files.

Hi Stephan,

Actually, the problem is the software I need to run my site.  It can only be initialized and configured by running it from the url where it's stored on my site (after which I'll remove the executable configuration utility to prevent hacking).

Anyway, without being able to access my site, I can't initialize my program, so I can't even spend this waiting time tinkering with my site.

Meanwhile, over 72 hours has passed and there's no sign whatsoever that propogation of the namechange servers has even started.

I just visited http://www.electricvenom.com/

The domain doesn't resolve to any ip address.

Have you changed the nameservers to the lunarpages ones?

Have you added your domain in the CPanel?
