If I wanted to remove the xmbforum from my website, would I just need to remove the mysql database and the directory I stored all the .php files in?

I have removed the board the way you described.I also removed a file in the main directory (same as Public_html)that is named xmbs.If you check the contents of this file the board name is listed there .

I did this just now and reinstalled a new one at once after so it works witout damaging anything as far as i can see.
