Meaning you need to access the mysql database over the internet from your home pc?

Yes, you can add the ip address of your home computer to your database, then you will be able to access your database remotely.

Can you keep a local and remote version of a mySQL and update both of them across the internet?

Ah well, I'm pleased you found a solution, because I am not sure what your question meant!  "[Big
