Hello guys,

I am thinking of setting up a personal website.  The main idea would be to have a pretty basic web page, and then i would want to have a gallery in which I would upload pictures of my  kids so that my parents who live in another country can watch their grandchildren growing up.

I intend to use a gallery program which can be protected by password so that only authorized people can access it.

How would i go about safeguarding that somebody cannot access the gallery through html by guessing my directory structure (for example www.abc.com/gallery/albums  and acquiring access to the picture folders?

How would i ensure that only those people i choose can see my pictures and nobody else?

You can password protect the directory where the images are stored.
