OK, i have a subdomain for my parents (xmas present) at:

http://remgsm.mcalhany.net

The folder is: http://www.mcalhany.net/public_html/remgsm

I have set up a ftp account for them as remgsm@mcalhany.net.

Now, exactly what do I need to type as the ftp server i'm trying to contact?

I can type ftp.mcalhany.net/public_html/remgsm

and it'll prompt me for user ID and password.

When using my main account ID and password I can see the files that exist in that folder.

However, if I use the same ftp address, but my remgsm@mcalhany.net ID and password, all i get is a blank screen.

Ideas?

nope, doesn't work w/ my subdomain's ID and password.

(at least using internet explorer to ftp)  

it works w/ my main account ID & password though!

Yeah, the built in FTP with internet explorer is very very bad!

I recommend:

Bulletftp
FlashFXP
Cuteftp

I am very suspiscious of the internet explorer ftp program!
