You can upload it with dreamweaver Smile

Just edit your dreamweaver ftp settings and enter the hostname of the web server you are on, fill in the username and password

and enter public_html as the remote directory (thats the directory where the files actually gets placed). Might be called something slightly different than remote directory. But when you see the settings you should know Smile

Maybe there is somewhere here that actually have dreamweaver and can describe it better for you Smile

I've got pic tutorials I can post.  Tell me if it's Dreamweaver 4 or Dreamweaver MX... in lieu of getting the TSoft tutorial  Very Happy

In fact, I'll post the one for MX.. the pic one (video's too much bandwidth heh).

Give it a day or so.  It'll be at  [ummmm]..

http://twebman.com/mm/dw/mx/

If it's not there when you check, give it several hours or a day.  I'll get it up there

The files can be .html or .htm , it doesn't matter.

By the way, if you ordered a domain name, remember it takes a while to start working.

Can you post the link to your website, so we can see what has happened?

Why not try an ftp client like Cute FTP?
You can download a shareware version from:
 http://www.globalscape.com
You'll also find a setup tutorial for Cute here
http://setup.lunarpages.com/manual/cpanel-manual.html#configftp
It's easy to use and simple to set up, I've used it for years and swear by it Smile
Have fun, learning those first steps are magical.  Very Happy

hmm
nobody has given the easy answer   Embarassed
If you have got into your control panel ok. click on FILE MANAGER.. goto PUBLIC-HTML folder. And click UPLOAD FILES ( that will upload files you  select from on your machine and upload them to the public-html folder ( the one we all see when  we connect to your site )  Smile

thanks for all of your help!!
i went on line and searched the dreamweaver program to get help with uploading.  so what i found out is that the help i had gotten was for getting my site set up to be uploaded but not for actually uploading it.  so i found that part out from some pages online.  and finally after getting it uploaded it's on the internet now.
it's generally a portfolio site to help me get a job and it has some stuff on it about the music stuff i do.
let me know what anyone thinks about it.

thanks again for the help, appreciate it!!
