I wanted to make this separate from the photo question because it deserves its own topic as well.  I want to host my short videos on my site.  They run up to about 10 minutes, and are things I've videotaped or made slideshows, and instead of using youtube or those types of site, I want to host them on my own site.  I have the coffeecup video
and it turns my mpg's, wmv's to flash video.  I've seen other sites that have video in quick time.

What is everyone's opinions on what they like best, and keep in mind I want cheap or free.  I already have the coffeecup and I use Pinnacle, Magix, and Sony Vegas as movie editors.

Thanks!

Well, there are many ways to get this done - but I thought I might also mention that to keep it viewable by as wide an audience as you can you might also look into how low you can compress the video footage to keep it at a small and easily streamed or downloaded size - without effecting quality.

I'm really not pushing to get big numbers like people get when uploading files to youtube and such.  It's more for local use and family and friends to check out.  I did some research on it last night, and I think the biggest question I have is what format is the best to put out on the internet.  Should I put it in quicktime, or flash, like coffeecup converts it to, or something else?

If you can get it going, I would say flash might be the best choice due to the fact that most if not all people would be able to play it without issue.

Yeah, stick to flash. I used Windows Media Player on my website (www.beyondfootball.com) and then got sick of it because most people couldn't play the files properly. I switched over to the Flow Player which is free. You can find it at www.flowplayer.org.

Thanks for suggesting Flow Player!!  I have been looking for something just like this for awhile.  Tried a few programs that just would not do what I needed them to.  Looks like this one will work!!  Very Happy  Thanks again!

Does Flowplayer work like the coffeecup video creator?
