Just in case you haven't heard:

Slashdot.org, the news for nerds, is having a redesign contest.  Winner will get a new laptop and the winning design becomes the Slashdot.org official page design.

The BBC is having a redesign contest.  Winner gets a new laptop and the winning design will be featured for one day as the official homepage design.
