Hello PC enthusiasts! Pumping out almost weekly reviews has left HardwareWarriors.com with a lot of review samples cramping our office space. An executive decision was made this morning to hold raffles when our sample inventory gets too bloated. This will serve two key purposes: To get our readers some free stuff, therefore spreading some love, as well as increasing our traffic and community size. So, without further babble, here is the first official HW.com Review Sample Giveway Raffle! Here's what we are giving away this month: 1ST PRIZE Antec Phantom 500 watt PSU Review is here: http://www.hardwarewarriors.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=19&Itemid=27 2ND PRIZE Razer Copperhead gaming mouse Review is here: http://www.hardwarewarriors.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=29&Itemid=27 3RD Prize Razer Krait gaming mouse Review is here: http://www.hardwarewarriors.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=23&Itemid=27 How do you enter the raffle you ask? 'Tis simple, just post in this forum thread: http://forum.hardwarewarriors.com/viewtopic.php?t=4450Please specify which items you wish to raffle for. Perhaps include a little quip about yourself or a comment about our website. If you do not have an HW forum account, please create one here: http://forum.hardwarewarriors.com/Dont worry, we wont sell your information or anything. Hell, I dont even need your real name. The goal here is to gather a legit email address to notify the winner with. I will then ask for a mailing address to send the item too if you win. This is all kept private. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please email at ted@hardwarewarriors.comUpdate!!! USA participants only. I did not account for crazy international taxes and shipping charges. Apparently these items will cost the winner like $100 in Canada to pick up from the post office. Cheers! Ted

LOL.
Since I have all of 3 contestants, I am changing the rules. You may post in this thread to enter. Just visit my site, poke around, and offer some commentary. That is all I require. Or just say HardwareWarriors.com 3 times (No I wont appear). I will IM you in this forum if you win.
Long live Lunar Pages!
Cheers!
Ted

I did take a trip to your Web site and I have to say I am impressed. There is a lot of good content there, and I always like to support some of the smaller review Web sites like yours.

Thanks Fellas.
So is that 4 contestants now? LOL
Its a lot of work, but I am making progress and forging lots of relations ships with some major players in the PC world.
Sorry about the USA only limitation, but I dont want to stiff the winner with some insane import fees or tax. I gambled and shipped a buddy some mugs to Canada for my old website a few years back, and there post office impounded them, broke one, then charged him like $100 to pick them up.
Cheers!

I though the reviews were pretty good. Most of the review I read are in AutoCAD/Microstation magazines and they have honestly been pretty dissapointing in the past couple of years. They really seem pretty limited on what they review and it never really seems to reflect how they are really used in the industry.
I'm wondering how the 'gaming' mice would fair for Autocad/Microstation work. I've always used a cheap off the shelf microsoft mouse (or equivalent). It's pretty good, though I have to crank up the pointer speed all the way to really make it useable with 3 monitors (otherwise I'd need a 3' wide clear spot on the desk to use the thing). So I'm wondering if the added resolution (and expense) would be worth it.

Hell yes it would make a difference. You'll get more precision and they are way more ergonomic. I'd say CAD, etc, is akin to RTS gaming. =-) Once you try a nice mouse... You will not go back. You wrists will actually smile. Especially if you use a PC like I do, 12+ hours day. If you dont win one of mine, I suggest visiting a retailer that allows you to handle them before purchase, and has a good return policy. Razer actually make a mouse targeted for pro use: http://www.razerzone.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=16I havent reviewed it, but it looks like a reskined version of their gaming mouse. -Ted

Hey,
If you guys dont mind, can you tell all your buddies? I really want to turn this into a big contest and repeat it every so often when I have cool stuff to giveaway. As time goes one.... I hope to get bigger ticket items - motherboards, videocards, cpu's, hard drives, etc. Wouldnt that be cool!!!!
And, in case you are wondering, I dont profit from this. In fact I eat the shipping. LOL
I just want a big successfull legit review site and have an influence in the industry.

heya Ted and all you others,
I posted on the hardware warriors forum also. Just in case.
I am interested in either of the mice. I am using an older MS wireless mouse.
The Antec's P180 Case you reviewed <http://www.hardwarewarriors.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=18&Itemid=27> is still going strong. I had some minor fan vibration/clatter in one of the rear fans, but it worked itself out and runs quite now.
Peace.

Lotsa posts, but no one specified what they wanted to win?
Can you guys update with either the Mice or PSU?
Thanks!

Hey Ted,
Looked around the site a bit. Liked what I saw. Will definitely stop by to read reviews next time I do some upgrading.
I'm a cordless mouse person, but I'd be interested in the power supply raffle.

Sweet.
The Phantom is an essentially an awkward product... its a "Fanless" 500 watt PSU aimed at those that want totally silent computers. Do you have case with good airflow allready? With at least 1 intake and 1 exhaust fan? Dont get me wrong... Its cool and worth winning, Just trying to qualify ya for it.

The computer it would probably go into has side and front intakes and 2 exhaust fans, not counting the fans the present power supply has, so it might work in that.
