Lunar Pages don't have control of most of the C-Panel software functions, as it is written by another company (C-Panel...), but I'm sure they will forward the recommendation, or see if it is something they are able to change.

The best safeguard will always be the most important, before you do anything to anything, back it up.  Computer's, as reliable as they are can still be unpredictable, so back up everything as often as you can.

If you open PHPMYADMIN from C-Panel's Database section, then select your database on the right hand side of the screen, you will see a tab at the top of the screen labeled 'SQL'.  Click this, then the browse button about half way down.  This will allow you to browse your computer for the backup file.  Once you have found it, clicked ok and then the Go button (in PHPMYADMIN) it should upload the backup.

Or if you have the SQL backed up in a text file, open it and copy the contents, then do as above, but paste the SQL into the white text box rather than clicking the browse button, now click go.

Also in the Backup section of C-Panel there is a database restore tool there, which should work in a similar way.
