I've seen people ftp files from a browser using ftp://ftp.mysite.com. How would I implement this. When I type ftp://ftp.mysite.com in my browser nothing happens, but other sites, the browser asks for username and password as you would expect. Is there something I need to do in CPanel?

I want to find the easiest way for a someone to be able to regularly upload a single xml file, in order to update a jobs section, because i've set up an XSLT page for this. I know I could get them to use a free ftp, but I know they will find this too complicated.

If you use Internet Explorer (or any other web browser) to FTP into your account, enter this into your address bar:

ftp://yourdomain.com

Be sure to change yourdomain.com to your actual domain name. We often recommend using a regular FTP program to access your account files rather than the web browser. If an error is displayed (may or may not occur depending on user settings), click on the File menu and the Logon As. You can enter your full username in the resulting box.

nope.

Neither ftp://aspirecreate.com nor ftp://ftp.aspirecreate.com work. I first thought it was permissions. It's not that. Maybe it's something I need to change in my CPanel.

try ftp://user:pass@aspirecreate.com/

User is your cPanel username
Pass is your cPanel password.
