Hello,

I’ve installed Wordpress on my site under www.mydomain.com/blog/ (with a slash “/” required at the end).  However, I tried to set up a redirect in the cPanel to direct that URL to www.mydomain.com/blog (without the slash at the end), but was not successful doing it Sad

Can someone please let me know how I can redirect the URL from with a slash to the one without a slash in the cPanel?

Or, should I reinstall the Wordpress in order to get the URL without a slash required at the end?

Thanks  a lot  Very Happy

Just curious as to why you wish to drop the last "/"?  I don't think a redirect would work in this situation because you are redirecting to where it is already pointing. Smile  You might go into your WordPress admin interface, and in the options set your blog URL as yourdomain.com/blog and see if that helps.  If you are worried about making it easy though for people to type in, typing in /blog should sent them to /blog/ too - WordPress should do that redirect for you automatically.

hi Mitch, thanks for your help Very Happy

Like you said, I was just trying to make it easy for people to type in.  I check the my WP admin panel, and it's already set to www.mydomain.com/blog (without the slash).  I think the issue might be that my site allows users to create their own URL when they sign up, i.e. www.mydomain.com/yourname.  So, when I type in www.mydomain.com/blog, it shows my 404 Error page.
