I would like to see lunarpages upgrade their stats package from Webalizer to AWstats which is a big improvement. Most of the other hosts I work with have already made this change. So why is lunarpages lagging behind and taking so long to make this switch?

Comparing the two stats packages its clear (to me at least) that Awstats is a much better and more complete package.

As far as I know, AWstats is is very resource hungry.  LP doesn't even like you to install it yourself on your site.  You could download AWstats to your local machine and run your access logs through it if you like that package so much.  

Also CPanel is a 3rd party software and it's not like LP can go into it and start changing components although I am sure they wish they could in some cases.

Maybe some staff can better answer.
