Hi,

New here, managing a site that we just migrated to lunarpages.  When I log in to CPanel, it says we've used 354 MB (out of 800 MB).  But I know we uploaded way less than that.  And when I click "Disk Usage" and the "Show Top Level" button, it indicates we're only using 21 MB total, which would be about right.

What gives?

Thanks.

Do you have a lot of statistics? They could be taking up space.

There is a disk space feature in Cpanel that can help track down what is taking the most space.

No database configured, no statistics configured.  It's a low traffic site, only 1 MB of bandwidth used so far.

stephan, is the disk space feature different than the Disk Usage tool that I mentioned?  If I give you the user id for the account, can you take a look?  If not, who should I talk to?

The disk usage tool in the control panel uses the "du" unix command to show all directories which take up space, so it's easy to see what takes up the most.

There is also a little disk usage thing on the left hand side of the control panel where you can see how much space is being used. That's what I would pay most attention to.

I'm not working for lunarpages, so I can't help you out, but if you contact the support team they'll take a look at it for you.

??  Right, I have checked both values as I said in my first post.  Both the values on the little disk usage stats window on the left, and the values given by the Disk Usage tool.

I sent an e-mail to the support folks so hopefully I'll hear back.
