Okay I understand all the options and have used them except the one on the top of the list.

 Full Backup

Generate/Download a Full Backup
Note: You cannot restore these backups, they can only be restored by your administrator.
I have used this feature but have not attempted to use it to restore.

There are some other similar posts here but without a real answer.
So here goes the question.
What does the note mean?
You cannot restore these backups, they can only be restored by your administrator.
There is not a option to use the backup file to restore like the other specific backup options.
So If I use this option how would I go about restoring a full site if I need to.
And will lunar charge me to restore using that file?

Hello,

In order to restore a full backup we must first delete your existing account and then recreate the account using the backup. There is no charge for this service as long as the backup is provided to us.

I hope this is helpful! If you have anymore specific questions please drop us an e-mail to support@lunarpages.com

Thank you,
That is exactly what I wanted to know.
Hope I never need it but at least now I know how that option works.
But this does open another interesting question.
Since I back up my site and backup my databases.
When would I need a full restore?
Say if something gets hosed on the server or mail server or mysql server?
Would that not be a lunar responsibility to restore from their backup.

It is always a good idea to keep your own backup too - cause well, you can never have too many backups. Smile (personal moto there)

If you needed something restored, and it was not the fault of the server or Lunarpages, then you would have to pay to have an account restore ($75 fee) or you could add the premium restore to your account, and then have Lunarpages restore anytime for free.  You can review this service here:

Could you give me your ticket number, and I can double check to make sure the request was sent to the right spot.  Thanks!
