Noticing poor performance on our dedicated server.  Ran "top" and didn't like how the memory looked.  Looking for comments on whether we are pooched for memory:

Code:
root@server [~]# free -m
total       used       free     shared    buffers     cached
Mem:           491        485          6          0          6         47
-/+ buffers/cache:        431         60
Swap:         1019        509        509

Hello,

It really depends on what are you running at the server. Do you have active forums or boards? is it too mysql intensive? Do you have any unnecesary daemons running?
