Hi -

I'm not a webmaster...but I'm making the plunge to dedicated hosting II today. I'm consolidating 3 accounts - 2 shared accounts on Lunar, and one on another host.

Everything is being backed up and moved...

My question is: What should I look out for? What are things that I should check - other than testing my pages - to make sure everything is going to perform as requested?

Just wondering about your experience of moving as well.

Thanks,

dp

If you are using cpanel now (Which I assume you are) and you get cpanel with your dedicated plan, you won't notice a difference really.

Hi,

My advices to the dedicated hosting beginner would be reading the manual to the control panel installed on your sever, ensuring that periodical data backups are running and server software and site scripts are up to date.

Feel free to post on this forums if you have any more questions.
