Any OS that supports the hardware of the plan you choose can be installed as per your request for one time setup fee of $75 for custom install. If the OS must be licensed and we do not offer licensing for it, you will be requested to provide the required info. It will be your area of responsibility to administer it then. With dedicated plans, LP support is mainly focused on network, hardware and post-installation issues, if the software installation was performed by us.

cPanel can be installed on a restricted amount of Linux distributives (please see http://www.cpanel.net/products/cPanelandWHM/linux/sys_requirements.htm for the full list). It won't be a problem to add it if the distributive of your choice is listed as a supported OS.

You are always welcome. It is hard to know all Linux distributive especially considering their number so we are mainly focused on Centos. However, if you have enough experience with apt-base distributive, we will be happy to install it for you.
