Anyone having any issues with DW8 and Vista?  One I have is that my username and password do not stay saved in the remote settings when DW closes.  I have to re-enter them every time I reopen DW.

Anyone else have this problem?  Have you found a workaround?

I did find an Adobe page about it but my problem's not on the list...so I sent it to them:

Hey Rick,

Did you figure out what the problem was or did Adobe respond with a solution?

Hi Ryan. No.  They've not added it to their "Issues" Page, nor did they respond to my bug report.

I rarely use my vista machine for web stuff so have not pestered them about it Smile

Steps that get it to usually work in vista...

1.Uninstall
2.Install by right clicking on the install file and running as "run as administrator"
3. Create a new link to the file .exe file onto your desktop (do not use the start menu link)
4. When running, right click the shortcut you created and do "run as administrator"

This works for most programs having vista issues.

It's a fresh install on a new laptop...but I don't think I installed as Admin...so I'll try it.  And I'll try it on AcrobatPro6 also...
Thanks!

50% of vista issues can be fixed by running as administrator.  The other 50% can be fixed by switching to linux.

I got dreamweaver to work on my pc.  But I had to install the 8.01 update followed by the 8.02 update all before starting Dreamweaver for the first time.  I use vista as well.
