Does anyone know much about connecting to a mySQL database using ASP VBScript and Dreamweaver?

I have a connection string which I think works, but everytime I try to connect via dreamweaver, I get an Internal server error.  I know a lot of people prefer to use PHP, but I am not very familiar with PHP and would prefer to use ASP if possible.  I have already conntacted technical support twice and they have tried to help, but it will still not work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

This is my connection string

"Driver={mySQL}; Server=localhost; port=3306; option=131072; stmt=;Database=username_dbname; Uid=username_dbusername; Pwd=**********"

As I say, I am almost certain this connection string works ok.  Just to clarify, I am  using the ASP VBScript Server Model in the dreamweaver site definition.   The connection string I have is being inserted into the custom connection dialog in the applications panel in dreamweaver.

I tried the % for the host and also my IP, but this still produced the same errors.
