Method Not Allowed The requested method POST is not allowed for the URL /Password retrival.htm. Right now i need help on how to manage that problem and basically how to move on from there as i have no idea. Thanks in Advance Edd...........wunluv

first of I'm using lunar pages for my hosting n i hate their support already In all fairness to LP support, they are NOT responsible to help us with software/script issues. They are only obligated to help us with server-side issues, since that's the portion/service we, as customers, are paying for - web hosting. Dreamweaver and/or form issues in general, are software/script issues If you don't have a server-side issue, then these forums are where you come for help That being said ... You have this for your form action: <form action="" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" name="form1"> It's missing the "action" part of the tag. In that portion of the tag, you need to enter the form processing script you will be using. Follow this tutorial on using the NMS FormMail script for your forms to give you what you need to get your form working: http://www.lunarforums.com/forum/index.php?topic=18221.0Please follow the instructions CAREFULLY and FULLY. Once you have done so and you have any problems, post back here and I will help you.

Oh my, yes, they shouldn't be rude . Always ask the name of the customer support person when they first answer the phone, and then if they are rude, you should report them to LP. You can PM either Tracie or Amy regarding the incident. Customer support positions should be filled by people who have the patience needed to deal with customers, so if he doesn't have the patience to do this, he needs to be put in another position that doesn't deal with people I feel that if you are holding on the phone for 30 minutes and then feel the need to hang up due to not wanting to encounter this same employee, that's not good, so this person needs to be reported as to how they behave when dealing with customers, otherwise who knows how many other customers are doing what you are doing. It doesn't do LP any justice either, because other customers might be posting on other forums like what you did (regarding being unhappy with LP support) and that's not good either. It gives LP a bad name.

Sorry, but I don't use AIM or any IRC type method for this type of thing. I can only offer to help you here. Programming is NOT involved with the NMS FormMail script. You just need to follow the instructions. I have NO perl programming knowledge myself, so I basically know as much as you regarding that part. Again, just follow the instructions on that tutorial. It may look overwhelming at first, but if you print it out and follow it step-by-step carefully like I say to do in that tutorial, you will be fine. Many, many people who have had NO scripting knowledge have installed it, so you are no different, trust me Please don't be lazy or overwhelmed to have to read that tutorial carefully and fully, because I will help you but you also have to make an effort to do this yourself first, otherwise you will NOT learn anything, thus the next time you need to do this, you will not know how. If after you install it and have followed the instructions on what you need to change for the CONFIGURATION part of the .pl script and what you need to do for the HTML FORM part, and you get errors when you test the form, then post back here and I will help you. help on adding forums For a forum script, go to cPanel and click on the " Fantastico" icon and install the SMF forum script. That's the one that a lot of people here are using. This LP forum is SMF, as well.

If you installed it via Fantastico, you can uninstall it via Fantastico.
Fantastico creates the database for you.
Go back to the Fantastico area in cPanel, and click on the SMF link, then follow the instructions to uninstall it.

When you try installing it again via Fantastico, make sure you click on the link that says "New Installation (1.1.1)". That will then open up the page where you do your configurations.
Then, if you don't want it to install in the root public_html (which is what happened to you the first time), enter a subfolder name (ex: smf or forum, etc.) where it says "Install in directory".

Hmmmm, http://www.nursinghelpdesk.com/home doesn't go to your original homepage. Provide me the link that goes to your homepage (copy the URL from your web browser when you see your homepage, and post it here)

Okay, I finally see what you mean. You called your homepage "home.htm" (please be specific when you post, because /home and /home.htm are two very different things, thus it takes longer if I have to figure these things out myself ) http://nursinghelpdesk.com/home.htmThe " index" file (ex: index.php, index.htm, index.html, etc.) takes priority, so you will have to delete whatever index file that SMF planted there in your public_html. *edit - Are you sure you uninstalled via Fantastico, because if you did, it should have removed all of the SMF files/folders to put your site back to how it was before it installed it
