 Help
Ok I have a new issue, i'm working on this website with dream weaver where i need to create a maito:emailaddress form(basically some info from clients visiting the page), i have done evrything and followed the following steps
action: mailto:emailaddress
method: GET
Enctype: text/plain
and checked the submit button and all that, the thing is when i go to test it after uploading the page, i hit the submit button and nothing happens, atleast the reset button is reseting the form but the submit is not doing anything...ok so i'm thinking that  my system must have a default email client(it does and i can send mail with it but it will not log onto my email account, basically i can send mail using outlook but i cant recieve mail using outlook). so if nothing else is wrong, i wonder how many clients will have the same problem. Sad

so i come to my questions, is there a way of creating a HTML(dreamweaver or any other) mailto form, that goes to my email address, basically lemmie know what mistakes i made or explain how i go from start to finish  :-?and secondly how do i set up outlook to be able to access my many email accounts. Help Confused

Elegance Graphics, I am not familiar with Dreamweaver but,
I use NMS form mail as a secure mail form for my site. You can get step by step on it here: http://www.lunarforums.com/forum/index.php?topic=18221.msg119650#msg119650
It sends everything to my email address which I gather with Outlook Express as POP3.

Here is a walkthru for setting up Outlook:

Here is one for Outlook express:

I hope this helps,

Like I said, I am not familiar with using Dreamweaver but I know you can make the form mail work using it. If i had to guess I would say it goes something like this:

Copy the HTML code over from the sample file.
Upload the .pl file into the cgi-bin.
Make sure it's not named form or mail, or the other things blocked on our servers. See: https://desk.lunarpages.com/faq.php?do=article&articleid=49
Make sure path in HTML is correct.

Perhaps some Dreamweaver guru will see this and let us know if this is correct  Confused

I hope this helps,

The NMS FormMail doesn't create the form. You can create the form in Dreamweaver, then you use the NMS FormMail script to process the form which then submits the output to your email.

RandyT gave you a link to a tutorial on how to configure the NMS FormMail script to use with your html form. Follow the instructions carefully and thoroughly. Here's the link again since Randy linked you to so many things, you might get lost on which tutorial I'm talking about  Smile:
