if you are using Windows, press Alt+F4 or press the X button in the upper-right corner, dreamweaver should immediately close unless it prompts you to save your current work.

hehe, pretty funny comment mysmic.  Anyway though, it is rather simple.  If you are asking how to make webpages on your own without the assistance of dreamweaver, you will have to learn HTML or xHTML.  Most older web designers code their html pages in notepad, which should come with every copy of windows.
