Hey, has anyone used DWMX 2004? I have two monitors for my desktop and it used to be in DW4 workspace you could place windows anywhere you wanted on your desktop but it seems now in DWMX2004 you are confined with in the program. Has any one figured out how you can have a page open and not be with in DW's program like it used to be in DW4 workspace?

Thanks

I'm not sure if this will help your issue or not b/c I don't do the two monitor thing, but Macromedia just released an updater for DW MX 2004 that solves a lot of the problems people were experiencing (mainly regarding stability and speed, but maybe the dual-monitor thing was addressed as well).

Hi,

If you go to the Dreamweaver help (F1 key), and select the Index tab, then select Workspace-->Floating workspace and look there, apparently only Macintosh now offers this layout.  The PC layout is set as it is currently and you can only choose between design view and coder view with panes attached together.  Thus, you can't get a DW 4 layout.  You can get select that kind of layout n MX just not in MX 2004.

You may want to check out what plainmabel notes, however, since maybe it was addressed in the update.  I will also look into that myself.

I hope this information is helpful.
