Hello people,

I am trying to serve a rather long .flv video clip from my lunarpages hosting account. I can do it easily using the "Insert Flash Video" function under Dreamweaver CS3, but the problem is that I have to serve it as a "Progressive Download Video", which means that almost the entire video must be downloaded to the browser before playback starts. A streaming download would be a much better option, though this requires me to enter a "server URI" utilizing the "rtmp://" protocol.

Does anybody know how (if) lunarpages can be configured to stream flash video?

Okay, I did my own research, and discovered that lunarpages does not support streaming flash video. I have successfully used a pseudo-streaming setup, described at http://www.flashcomguru.com/index.cfm/2005/11/2/Streaming-flv-video-via-PHP-take-two

My results can be viewed at http://www.henryfordem.com/mom.htm
