Keep in mind that ie7 ctrl scroll magnifies a page while ie6 enlarges the text with the same action.
I didn't realize that -- I have ie7.
So, if I can fix the problem in FF, with any luck it will also work in ie6 (that's probably a large amount of wishful thinking).
On the site I linked to above, you can see that I have three boxes on the left. For each one, there's a container layer, enclosing a layer on the left for a photo and one on the right for text. For continuity of design, I need the three boxes to be the same size. If I set the height as auto so they'll expand to accommodate larger text, then everything becomes a different size. I haven't been able to figure out what to do about that.
On other sites I've done, where I have managed to get individual layers to adjust for larger text, I always have the problem of the content overflowing the container layer of the template. The only fix I've found for that is to make the container layer higher than it really needs to be, resulting in a lot of empty space on some pages.
I'm sorry if I haven't explained this very well. I have a fair amount of experience with Dreamweaver, but am not an expert by any means.
I would be grateful for any advice.
