i designed the site using dreamweaver and when i checked it using ie7, it showed up good... also on firefox... but when i checked it using ie5, the site is not showing up properly. also, when i changed the links, the browser doesn't open up the new links, it still opens the old one. why is that? Crying or Very sad

Did you check the site using IE6? Almost all of your users will be using IE6 or 7 or Firefox.

IE6 will take some tweaking of your code to display properly. IE5? I wouldn't even bother but if you must design for it, you have your work cut out for you. If you're using CSS, try using a different style sheet for IE5 and probably 6. I use 2 - one for Firefox and IE7 and one for IE6.

You might need to clear your cache to see the updated pages.

A lot of times, sites that work properly in IE 6 or IE 7 wont work properly due to differences between the browsers and what they can support.

Very few users are using IE 5 these days.

Generally for my sites I check in IE 6, IE 7, Firefox, AOL
