I've actually had a lot more success customizing OSCommerce than I thought I would by editing the Stylesheet and supporting images, but I'm stuck on one last thing...

how do I define a background image for the site? I've tried defining it in the stylesheet's "body" tag as well as defining it in the individual php pages... any thoughts?
