We just recently moved our ecommerce site over to lunar pages and the dns propagated two days ago.

My previous host allowed us to install our own ssl certs, but I am finding out now with lunarpages it is not done this way.

I sent the cert to lunarpages to get it installed for us.  To this day, it has been TWO days and its still not done!  I have sent several support tickets and I'm lucky to get a response 24 hours later.  The response I got yesterday was they offered to install one of their certs for us which was completely off topic.  I had emailed them the cert I needed them to install.  Since then, I am still waiting for a response.

I never expected support to be like this.  I heard so many good things about lunarpages and I am so disappointed I am just ready to up and move everything again.

We get anywhere from 6-10 orders a day and this is ALOT of money lost for us.  I asked them if they could at least put some priority on this since it was a live store, but I was simply informed that they answer tickets in the order received.  I don't feel this is right at all.  Since I can't call support - they obviously don't take calls on the weekends, I am just totally at a loss.

We have another store we were going to move to lunarpages, but this store is even busier.  Now I am scared to take the risk - thank god I started with one of our less busy stores.

So - my question is - is this what it is like to get an ecommerce store transferred to lunarpages?  Or is this a fluke and did I go about doing this the wrong way?  I would like to hear from other people that have moved a live store here and if they had any troubles.

Thanks.

I don't manage an online store but it seems like you shut down your website at your old webhost without getting everything else setup here at LP first. We and everyone else will recommend that when moving between webhosts that you get the setup exactly the way you want it so that at each webhost they match exactly.

Once you decide to switch, you update the DNS and wait 72 hours and do any final syncs from the old host to LP. From there you can shut down your website at the old webhost.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
