Hi all,

I've searched this topic & read all threads related & implemented the help I found in them, to no avail.

I have added the line, "register_globals = On" to my php.ini file in my public.html file (which was created when I installed my osCommerce, however my osCommerce was not installed into my public.html root but into a subdomain folder - funny thing tho it didn't create a catalog folder). Anyway, it did create an .htaccess folder in my osCommerce stuff, BUT, I don't know where to add that other line, "suPHP_ConfigPath /home/brenn4/public_html/dingleberrycandleco/php.ini". Does it go into my public.html .htaccess file or the .htaccess file where my osCommerce files are? Also, do I put the register_globals=on php.ini file in public.html or where my osCommerce files are? If it goes where my commerce files are, do I delete the one in my public.html?

At any rate, I have tried all options & tried logging into my admin & none work. I'm pulling my hair out over this. Palalalalaleeeeze hep me hep me!

Ok, I'm still not clear.

Will I be ok if I put the "register_globals = On" in my php.ini file in my subfolder where my oscommerce files reside, AND put the suPHP_ConfigPath line in the .htaccess file that also resides in the subfolder where my oscommerce files reside, or does the suPHP line have to go in my public.html .htaccess file?

I downloaded it from Fantastico & it says version 2.2 MS2 with BuySAFE. is that not the latest? If not then I'm not going to hassle with it cuz this is getting too complicated.

I actually decided to uninstall the Fantastico version & install the latest version from osCommerce's site, & it's running fine now. Thank you kindly for your help! This forum is great.
