Hi,
I have been using using frontpage extensions to publish my web for the last several years. Recently when I delete a page on my computer and then publish my web, it does not delete the page from the website. Is there a setting that I am missing? I used to get a dialog box when publishing that a specific file exists on the destination but not on the current web, do I wish to remove it, then I clicked yes, but I am no longer seeing that message. All stuff that is deleted on my computer, still exists out on the web.
I tried unistalling and reinstalling frontpage extensions - didn't solve the problem.
Any suggestions?

This was a common problem with the older versions of FrontPage. It is much better with FP2003 but not foolproof. Sometimes wierdness like this is caused by old temp files. In the next message I'll give a proceedure for deleting the temp files.

Here are some things to try to clean up old temp files.
* In Internet Explorer, select the Tools menu and choose Internet Options... in the Browsing History section, click Delete Files then click Temporary Internet Files. Note: In versions other than IE7 this sequence may vary.
* In Windows, click the Start button... All Programs... Accessories... System Tools... Disk Cleanup. Wait 2-5 minutes or more while Disk Cleanup scans your hard drive. Make sure there are checks in the boxes for Temporary Internet Files, Temporary Files, Web Client/Publisher Temporary Files, and Temporary Offline Files, then click OK.
* In FrontPage, with your site open, select the Tools menu and choose Site Settings... Advanced tab... Delete Temporary Files.
* Select the Tools menu and choose Recalculate. Wait 1-3 minutes or more for it to finish.
* Select any file in the Folder list then select the view menu and choose Refresh.
* Select the File menu and choose Close Site. Then close FrontPage and restart your computer.

I should have mentioned that I am using FrontPage 2002. Anyway...I followed all your suggestions for cleaning up old temp files...no luck, still no dialog box to remove files when publishing.
Should I back up my local site and reinstall FrontPage on my computer?

I'm not hopeful that reinstalling FP will help, since this is a known bug feature.
I can't remember FP2002, but in FP2003 you can see the local and remote sites at the same time. Occasionally I just go through the site viewing each folder on both the local and remote and manually delete the extra files from the remote. If FP2002 doesn't let you view both sites at once, try opening a second copy of FrontPage in which you open the site live on the server. Then you can compare the local and remote files.
The other option is to delete all the files on the server and republish the entire site fresh.
