I'm having a few issues here as the mysql user, db name setup appears different to my old shared hosting. Problem seems to be paths or database name.

Note: this is for a zen cart, configure files. I set the path (the ones which require complete path) to: /var/www/vhost/domainname/httpdocs/

I set the username to (I've tried several variations) including: accountname_databaseusername and just databaseusername

I set the database name: example_april (this is the name of the database shown in plesk).

So I'm lost as to what is wrong. Help would be appreciated.

Hi Jetx,

Was the db user the the same name and password as noted in the Zen Cart config created under the appropriated database in Plesk?

Hi thanks for the reply. I finally figured this out, actually had a little assistance from the zen dev team who mentioned apache taking over file ownership. From there I realised I'd uploaded everything and then moved the files from one VPS domain to the next, easily done using root access. However that was the cause of the problem as the file ownership had changed to root.

Easy to get going once I realised this. Lesson is, use the domain ftp login for uploads of this sort.
