I'm on a lunar dedicated server. The last few months I've been experiencing random periods of no connectivity. Specifically, when you come to a page on my site, it says it's loading but can take anywhere from a minute or two to finally load. The problem only lasts for a minute or so and then goes away.

Any idea what could be the cause? Anyone else experiencing the same?

The problem is so random, that I believe it is related to something with my server, and not high traffic, site load or routing.

More details:
- My users (coming from a variety of areas mainly within one state) are also experiencing this, so I do not believe it is a routing issue.

- During the moments my site is stalling, I also cannot connect to my server via Cute FTP.

- I don't believe the issue is related to a high traffic load on my server, because when the problem occurs there aren't more than 50 or so people logged onto my site's forum.

- Below is a tracert during one of the periods of no connectivity if it helps. Again, my users are coming from a variety of ISPs, so I'm not convinced it is a routing issue.

Below are tracerts when the site loads fine. There are still some drops. There always seem to be little drops any time I've done a tracert to most sites.

Since my users throughout the state from different ISPs have reported the issue, shouldn't that rule out a routing issue?

I have not checked the Apache logs yet.

There is no error message when trying to connect via browser or FTP. The browser just waits until the page finally loads. Same thing with CuteFTP, it just keeps trying to connect until it either does, or I close it out and try again.
