Hi everyone,

Here's the problem:

I created a one-page sales letter for a client.  I formatted the letter on frontpage and then sent him the HTML file for him to publish on the net.

Apparently, because the bullets and one other graphic was inserted from my files...they don't show up on his system or when the page is published.

So, for the one graphic...should I just copy and paste it?

And for the bullets...what should I do?  I formatted the bullets to have the image that I wanted (blue checks).  Should I take out the bullet formatting and then just copy and paste the checks in?

Or should I send him the graphic to load onto his system (Dreamweaver)?

Hope this makes sense...I'm confused  Confused

Sounds like you need to send him the graphic.

If you sent your client only the HTML file, then they will not have any of the graphics (bullets, etc.). Cutting and pasting will not do a thing for you -- HTML is text only, and graphics are separate files. As ReTodd said, you need to send your client all the graphic files your page uses, so he can upload them to his server.

Be sure to double check that your image tags (<img>) give the correct file path and name. I've seen a lot of Dreamweaver, FrontPage, etc. pages where the text is OK, but the image src= attributes point to a file on the disk of the developer's PC, rather than a file on the server (e.g., <img src="C:\Documents and Settings\FrontPage\.....\bullet.gif"> rather than <img src="images/bullet.gif">. WYSIWYG page editors are OK if you know how to switch back and forth to code. Very Happy

Always test your site away from the PC you wrote it on.
