Reflections

Hi,

I don't really get how reflections can be used so they look good. Anyone here know how?

My reflection attempts end up in flames Crying or Very sad

I know todd (the one who did the LP banners) did a small explanation of how he did those.

If you do an oval in photoshop or your favorite image editor and have it set to a white color. Then there should be an option to set a transparency on the oval. From there you can adjust the oval's transparency to what looks good for your image.

To do reflections and transparency really well, you need to produce your images with a "ray tracing" program. POV-ray is quite good. Photoshop hacks with ovals and transparency settings may do for some simple cases, but are limited. At least, look at the POV-ray site to see what it can do.
