hey since i'm kinda new to lunarforums - i haven't seen many of the graphics peoples work...
i thought maybe (since lunarpages doesn'thave a link button)
maybe we cud start a little competition for people to make a 81x33 link button...
i'd like a mod or admin to say that this is ok first...
thnx... Garvey

Sounds interesting.
What kind of button? A small advert for lunarpages?
There are buttons/graphics available in the affiliate pages you can use, but feel free to make your own ones if you think you'll get more referrals.
Does anyone have any buttons made?
Would the competition need prizes? I'm not sure if we have any...!

81x33 doesn't give us a whole lot to work with...heh. Also, we have plenty of contests going where there are prizes, so if that's all someone is interested in, they can participate in those contests. Hehe.
And like Stephan, I would like some clarification on what we're making a button for.

I'm a fan of small buttons and such, as I have limited ad space, and 0 skillw ith graphics. Some buttons other than the lunarpages provided ones, might be a nice treat to consider

That size is really too small to even work with..I can barely read LUNARPAGES on that button the ARP blend together with that font

i meant a button like aortistdesign's i have a few websites hanging around on the net and normally the only links i will add are 81x33 buttons
this is the most popular way that people link you and thats y i thought a button comp would be nice... no prizes are needed.... just for fun :/

Why dont you have a range of diff size links buttons. like 80x30 88x31, 30x10 and so on. That way people can choose which one they would prefer to put on thier site. And a tip when making link buttons. If you want the name to stand out then use a bitmap font, and give it a 1px outline of a diff colour, say white or black. ITs alot more readable. Heres a quick try by me. Youll get what im talking about being able to read the font.
