GirlGamerJae sent me a how to on the oscommerce forum that really isn't about oscommerce but can be applied to helping people with good design.

The link to it is:

http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?showtopic=72518&st=0&#entry302165

Title of the thread is :Website Color Pallette Trick, Using Photoshop (or PSP)

Also in the thread is a link to a website that creates color palettes:
http://www.pixy.cz/apps/barvy/index-en.html

The thread refers to simple ways to make a color palette to make it easy to pick the right colors that go together well.

Also check out ColorSchemer.  It's an excellent tool for determining color schemes.

Pick an image that you like, it doesn't have to be something contained in your site.

If you like the colors of something then use the technique to gather the colors for your template.

Well thats easy enough and would have saved me probably around 3 hours not dealing with stupid color issues!

Now find a light picture, thats easy. Thanks for the How to.

Probably the best one here for me!
