Hey there folks.
I fired up a mambo site for our non profit (12 step group) and its got everything I can see we need, but Im again have hit a wall.
I cant get a editor to work, I really need to get the overall theme set up that will make our members a bit more at home.
Tips?

Help?

Im not really a retard I just pretend to be one by asking stupid questions..
hehe.

I have searched the net for mambots for editors.. and I found a couple but they where corrupted and wouldn't unzip Duh..
 argh...!!!

thanks folks...

Try this

When logging into the back-end try http://mydomain.com/administrator instead of http://www.mydomain.con/administrator

The problem is caused by the Fantastico scripts setup of the configuration.php file. It does not include the www when setting the $mosConfig_live_site value.

You can also change the value in the configuration.php file to include www

Hope that helps

ug ug - the Miro/Mambo folk changed it up a bit since you first set out your how to.

I've been at it for the last 6 hours trying to set all of the file permissions here -

please please please - is the version thats stable now comparable to the version you mentioned for installation?
i want to install mambo without adding another db - use an existing one -
but i keep getting goofy error messages ...

this is my favorite after deleting the installation folder -
DB function failed with error number 1064
You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 SQL=SELECT session_id FROM #__session WHERE session_id=MD5('6190defbc49912a8089d6db1b5376d26')
SQL =

SELECT session_id FROM #__session WHERE session_id=MD5('6190defbc49912a8089d6db1b5376d26')
---
the #__session table is empty
