Hi Daemonfly,

The secure logins would have https and you would change the 2095 to 2096 for the port.

For example:

https://www.bestgarden.net:2096/horde/index.php/

I hope this helps.
I tried this but get certificate problems from segonax.lunarpages.com and my domain. I'd like to do the secure login but is there a fix for the certificate problems?

Thanks in advance.

The link to change passwords is:

http://domain.com:2095/webmailpasswd.cgi
Does this also change the STMP Authentication password for a user's client software?

if the client software is installed on the user's local machine then the user would need to change it there in order to connect... I believe that link would only change the password on the server...

hope I understood your question correctly...

Let me phrase my question a little better.

If the user changes their password using the webmailpasswd.cgi command, does the user have to manually change their client software password accordingly so STMP authentication via their client software works properly?

assuming by client software you are talking about something like Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora, etc., then yes they will need to change their password there as well... it should prompt for the password after it recognizes that the password it has stored is no longer valid. (I say should because I've been having problems lately with Eudora actually prompting for a new password after it has been changed.)

Best way to tell though is to setup a test account and see what happens...

Hi...I'm getting the continuous loop thing.  I get a pop-up that tells me that jokeawhatever requires a password.  If I enter my e-Mail address & password, it keeps making me do it over and over.  If I hit cancel, I get the cPanel login e-Mail page.  What am I doing wrong?  I made sure the / was in the subdomain.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, the first post, with jokeawhenever is just a sample so it wouldn't work.

You'd need to use: http://www.destinationhomework.com:2095/horde/

I made an attempt at this, but i appears that cpanel has changed how it does this.

cpanel now has a trailing '/' after the domain name, so you end up redirecting from yourdomain.com/:2095/horde/, which doesn't work.  cpanel gives you an error: "You must fill in the extension as well as the handler".

Is there a way to get around this apparently mandatory '/' after the domain?

Well, let me jump in with a quesion.  At the winery where I work we have our own domain, which is www.fennvalley.com  and we also are able to access our webmail on the server at http://webmail.fennvalley.com  and if you go there you will see that you get a choice of "username"  "password" and then language, which is left alone.  Since we have several people at the winery we all get email via our first name+domain name.  If you wanted to view your email from some other place than at the winery at your computer and your email client, you could simply go to that above address, insert your name, and insert your password and you got JUST your eamil.  However, when I log into vernsdid.com  with my username and password, I can see both mine and my wifes email that shows up in Horde.  Odd huh?

So I was wondering if there was an actual way to make the Horde email setup work like that at the winery, where I could just type in webmail.vernsdidj.com or webmail.scottieluvr.com  and get the proper setup? Confused
