hey,
i just installed joomla, tried to figure out how to change the links to www but can't find it so i thought i'd post here Razz

how to make http://mysite.com to http://www.mysite.com

anyone here who can help me out?

on my forum : pinoypetfinder.com/forum, i was able to add "www" on the url by editing something on the server settings(on the admin page of the forum). as for joomla, i can';t seem to find this option  Confused

I think what you might need here is a 301 redirect to force all the yourdomain.com's to go to www.yourdomain.com.  Check out this post that I did yesterday on this and see if that helps you out:

thanks mitch, i will try that out.

one more thing though..
do i have it to add those codes on the root directory of my account? (myregisteredsiteonlunar.com) ? I mean, cuz this I need this for my other site, and it's an add-on domain to my hosting account, will it be ok if i installed it on my main directory(myregisteredsiteonlunar.com)? or do i need to make a .htaccess file on mynewsite.com folder?

Yes, I would try putting the .htaccess file inside of the main folder for the addon domain.  That should work.
