I have several Joomla sites and love it.  Lunarpages has been a great place for me to host them.  Recently I found Seyret a video gallery extension that I really like but I can't seem to get it working with ffmpeg the way it should.  Has anyone been able to use it or is anyone willing to help me figure it out.  Seyret uses FFMPEG to convert uploaded videos.  I get the files uploaded but the extension can't find the converter.  I have had Lunarpages move my accounts to a server that has FFMPEG, I updated the path, tweaked the php.ini and htaccess according to supports information but still no converter tool is found.  PLEASE HELP.

It's working. I thought I would share the settings so other folks could save themselves some time.

1. Be sure to have Lunarpages put you on a server that has FFMPEG.

2. in the .htaccess file be sure to add this:

suPHP_ConfigPath /home/yourusername/public_html

3. in the php.ini be sure to have:

upload_tmp_dir = "/home/yourusername/tmp"
[ffmpeg]
extension=ffmpeg.so

4. And be sure to set the ffmpeg dir to:

/usr/local/bin/ffmpeg

Also, you have to have PHP 5 is enabled.

That should work. Hope this helps someone.

Just and FYI. Lunarpages did figure out what I needed and though it took a little while their support was responsive.

I too want really like the Seyret component for Joomla and have run into the same problem that you have.  My only reservation with Seyret is that it doesn't seem to support .mov file types with I have a lot of.  Have you found a way for Seyret to support .mov conversions?

SEYRET also required LAME Support.  Have you figured out how to get that working too?
