I'm using Joomla 1.5.  So far my site is little more than a template with minor changes - nothing fancy. 

The first time every day that look at my site in either IE or Firefox, it takes anywhere from 15 to 60 seconds to load.  After that, it loads in a decent amount of time, but a few (not sure of the actual number) hours later it again takes a long time to load.

This happens regardless of what computer I use.  Is this caused by the LP servers?  Is there a configuration option to fix this? Does Joomla 1.0x have this issue?

Right now it's loading fine, but the first attempt to pull it up several hours from now will show the long load time.

Thanks for the link. I've tried it several times, and the first try after a several hour long delay shows around 18 seconds elapse from the time it connects until it receives the first byte of data.  Then the rest of the site loads quickly.  I'm still unsure if this is due to Joomla, Joomla 1.5, or something else.
